Used Farm Equipment

Who out there has bought over priced shoddy farm equipment? I would like to hear your stories. There are no real laws to protect the consumer like there is with used cars. Better farming is only sustainable if the farmer can afford to do it! Being poor is a major draw back to being able to produce. Usually when it comes time for the sale of the product the only one making a profit is the middleman! With used equipment most of the time it has been bought and paid for once. What bothers me is the fact that the equipment is not marked "as is" and you are told that is is in working order. When you get it home then the truth comes out! Used farm equipment is expensive and most of the time it is JUNK! Who will these farm equipment dealers sell to when we have all been priced right out of the market. Corporate farming does not produce healthy livestock or grains ect. Who will help the small farmers who really understand the word diversification? Knowing were your food comes from and how much it costs to produce it is now more important than it has ever been. The small farmers cannot sustain the price of farm equipment.....fuel costs......and provide cheap food! Only the corporate large farms can do that! They don't care what the end product is like....the only consideration is to make money and lots of it!
